Our Sandlewood comes to us from mid-west USA. The grain is straight, and golden brown. The annual rings are very pronounced and unusual. Both winter and summer growth is extremely hard. Sandlewood is rated as very durable, with good weathering properties too. Commonly used for fence posts and furniture. The over-all appearance is similar to Osage Orange.
